What to Expect During a New Installation

Written by United | January 16 2023

When you choose United for a new HVAC or furnace installation, here's what you can expect:

Our Team Arrives

Our background checked and drug screened employees show up on time and in their clean United blue trucks. We don’t subcontract our work out so we can guarantee quality craftsmanship. Our staff wears shoe protectors and covers carpet to not track dirt or debris through your home.

System Tear Out

Out with the old! All of your old equipment will be removed and hauled away by our installation technicians. Refrigerant and oil will be removed from the air conditioners by E.P.A and state regulations and any remaining pieces will be inspected prior to the new installation. Lastly, all work areas will be swept clean prior to the new system installation.

New Air Conditioners or Heat Pumps

In with the new! All new units will be set on a new level pad to ensure proper operation of the equipment. A new electrical disconnect will be installed as needed, all copper connections will be leak checked and pumped down to remove any contaminants from entering the system, and all high volt and low volt connections will be made with new connectors to meet manufactures requirements.

Coils and Ductwork

Finishing touches are added! A new filter drier will be installed, new PVC drain lines will be installed on all components that require a drain, safety float switches will be installed when needed and custom fabricated ductwork will be installed, checked, and sealed for proper operation.

Furnace Installation

All our furnaces are set on new vibration pads to help eliminate noise in your home. Bricks and bases are used to elevate your new equipment off the floor.

All electrical circuits will be connected, all gas line connections will be installed, tested, and leak checked prior to completion of the installation. All vent pipes will be inspected for proper operation and a 40-point system check will be recorded to ensure proper operation of your new system.
